Help Information

Ordering & Payments...

We accept all major UK credit and debit cards. You can place your order online, where your payment will be processed on our 128-bit secure server, or make your purchase over the phone.

We also accept cheques and postal orders. Cheques must have a valid cheque guarantee card number on the back. We reserve the right to let cheques clear before dispatching the relevant goods.

If paying by cheque or postal order, please address your payment to Toolbay Direct Ltd and send it along with your order details to the address found on our contact details page.

A full VAT receipt will be supplied with all orders.

Delivery Information...

All of our item descriptions state the normal period of time in which that item will be dispatched. In most cases this is 1-2 working days.

We dispatch the majority of our orders on a 48 hour national courier service. Some exceptionally small items may go by Royal Mail.

Please supply us with an address where there will be someone available to sign for the delivery during the week, between 9am and 5pm. If you are ordering exceptionally large or heavy items, please have facilities available to help unload your order as delivery drivers are usually unaccompanied.

If nobody is available to sign for the delivery, our couriers will normally leave a card with instructions for you to arrange either a free redelivery or a collection from your local depot. If redeliveries repeatedly fail due to the customer, there may by additional charges for this service.

Saturday deliveries, before 12pm and before 10am deliveries and other special arrangements can also be made on request, subject to availability.

Warranties & Returns...

For the safety and convenience of our customers, Toolbay Direct only supplies brand new UK or EU sourced tools.

For your peace of mind, the vast majority of our items are supplied with full end-user warranties (certain consumable items may be exempt as they naturally degrade). We published the length of warranty in each item's description.

Warranties are valid from the date of purchase and ensure that items will be free of defects for the duration of the warranty.

If you receive an item which has been damaged in transit, please notify us within 24 hours so that we can have it collected and replaced or make other reconciliatory arrangements. Please note that such items may need to be inspected to verify your claim.

In the event that you wish to return an item, please note that the customer must cover the initial cost of returning the item. If the return is due to a genuine fault under warranty, we will either replace the item or refund your payment, including the P&P for returning the goods.

Please remember that if you have a problem with an item and believe it is due to a fault under warranty, please contact us first. We will then be able to establish whether we, the manufacturer or a third party (ie repair agent) will deal with any repairs, spares or replacements.
